San Juan cruises - check in and leave?

Recommended Posts

It will be our first time sailing out of San Juan for our honeymoon this December. Our departure time is 9 pm. Are we able to check in to the ship, get our things to our room and then disembark? I have family there so it would be nice to be able to spend some time with them or just go hang out in the city.

I guess I can drop my luggage to the porters and not embark until later?

I wouldn't do it.

The agents will not be there indefinitely.

Maybe drop off luggage with porters, check in with agents etc. Have your family meet you near the ship so you don't have to deal with the traffic.
