mrs. z Posted March 12, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 12, 2018 Has anyone ever used these to protect your wine while carrying it in your suitcase/carry on? Wanting to get some ideas and which one is the best. TIA
Crusin Karen Posted March 12, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 12, 2018 I just use bubble wrap, then put the whole thing inside a plastic bag from the grocery store, wrap it around, put in another bag, wrap it around....do this about 5x and I've never had a problem! awestover89 Posted March 12, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 12, 2018 We started using these: http://amzn.to/2FHBRep First few trips we did bubble wrap and bag like Cruisin Karen said, but found that the process of wrapping them before travel and unwrapping them when we boarded was annoying and time consuming. The sleeves we got on Amazon are reusable, and really quick and easy to pack and unpack.
E@syPe@zy Posted March 12, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 12, 2018 On our last cruise in December we used "Winevinci" bags that we ordered from Amazon. They were $14.97 for a pack of 3 bags. They are reusable. We were very pleased with these bags. It's made along the lines of a "dry bag" that you would use for camping or boating. We took 2 bottles with us and actually brought a couple of bottles home with us (gifts from Casino). Our bags made it through 2 flights and the cruise line handling our bags on debarkation day.
MTJtraveller Posted March 12, 2018 #5 Share Posted March 12, 2018 I have used and reused and reused Jet Bag Reusable Padded Absorbent Bottle Bags, Bio-Degradable Travel Accessory, Set of 3 From Amazon, about $13. They have a liner that protects the bottle that is made of same material as the absorbent material of diapers. Theory is that if liquid spills or breaks open it is absorbed and kept in the zip locked bag. I’ve never had a problem.
Markmom18 Posted March 12, 2018 #6 Share Posted March 12, 2018 Hi, Last Sunday at Southwest Houston/Hobby, my Mom had 2 bottles of wine in a Carnival box that she purchased. She wanted to check them in her luggage, rather than carry on. SW sold us great bottle wraps right there at the Baggage/Boarding Pass Counter. $5 each. Just wanted to send out this FYI for those who needed last minute protectors. :) Bobbi
