khewston Posted March 14, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 14, 2018 This will be our second time in Aruba. The first time we rented a jeep and drove all over the island. However, this time we don't port until 1pm and I'm not sure if we want to rent a jeep and drive around after dark. What do you suggest we do? I heard all the shops close early. Thank you! cb at sea Posted March 14, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 14, 2018 I'd head to the beach for the afternoon, then back to the ship to clean up, then back to town for dinner ashore! Maybe a bit of gambling in a casino!
excited balcony Posted March 14, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 14, 2018 We are in port for those exact hours and we are doing a horseback riding excursion and then staying for a bit of shopping in town.
plyman69 Posted March 14, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 14, 2018 not trying to be funny here... but why eat in town when you can eat on the ship for free....
Rare Keith1010 Posted March 15, 2018 #5 Share Posted March 15, 2018 I too would make it a beach day. Either have dinner in town or even after you get back for dinner on the ship you could then walk around the nearby area. Keith
cruiseapril Posted March 23, 2018 #6 Share Posted March 23, 2018 Good for a beach day- Palm or Eagle- and dinner on the ship.
Hatteras51 Posted March 23, 2018 #7 Share Posted March 23, 2018 not trying to be funny here... but why eat in town when you can eat on the ship for free.... There are tons of great restaurants in Aruba, many set right on the beach. It's a wonderful experience.
Grant2000 Posted March 28, 2018 #8 Share Posted March 28, 2018 I'd catch the local bus from the central bus terminal near the cruise terminal for $1 and head out to Palm Beach. There are dozens of luxury hotels to explore and what many say is the most beautiful beach in the Caribbean. https://aruba-island.com
