drisinger Posted March 19, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 19, 2018 Is the Dining Room open for lunch on day of sail? Maybe The Black Pearl? I know it's a food fest up top, just want to know about the dining room. Princess does it, just can't recall about Carnival. It's been a few years. Thank you! DeAnna Unfortunately, it is not open, except to visit the Maitre D, if you have a question about your table assignment/time.
riffatsea Posted March 19, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 19, 2018 Agree-no dining room open on embarkation day. Only the venues on the Lido are open.
famof4togo Posted March 19, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 19, 2018 But I hear if you go upstairs to the BBQ place it will be less crowded on embankment day as many haven't discovered its location yet...

DeAnna I have read that Carnival does not open their MDR for lunch. That is too bad. Not everyone wants to hit a buffet or have grab and go food. A nice sit down, waited on lunch is more appealing. I will be sailing the Breeze in March 2019 after not sailing with Carnival since 2007, sailing only RCCL and NCL. And I hear the lines in their buffet are awful. Hoping for a good time on my next cruise, but this may be my last time with Carnival. Fingers crossed. 🤞 Sent from my iPhone using Forums

On the Magic the BBQ was on deck 5, pretty busy as well.
