csj092809 Posted March 19, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 19, 2018 Just wondering if the two penthouses are still there after drydock. I know some of the other ships turned them into Camp Carnival areas.
Rare Petroplex Posted June 4, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 4, 2018 They are indeed still there. A buddy of mine and his wife were in the Fascination penthouse last week and said they had an amazing time. The penthouse came complete with concierge service.

Does the bathroom still have the dated hot pink bath tub, sinks and counters? It always reminds us of Jayne Mansfield's bath room in Hollywood.
SpasmaticAstroturf Posted September 10, 2018 #7 Share Posted September 10, 2018 Carnival offered the (rep called it the Owner's Suite) to me Friday for our October cruise. The rep I spoke with said it would an additional $2300. We are in a junior suite. My guess, it would be a total cost of aprrox. $4500 for the week. I was sent pictures of the room via email. The room looked nice.

We had already booked an extended balcony room and a couple of weeks prior to the sail date, we received an upgrade offer in email. After inquiring about the price, we decided to do it. I do not regret it one bit. -Kenny

Little nervous over some comments posted about it being noisy and the balcony view being terrible. How was your experience with those?
TrinaLC Posted February 2, 2020 #16 Share Posted February 2, 2020 We passed. There is virtually no balcony and the little there is faces Lido pool area more than to the ocean. My research also showed that many find the room(s) terribly noisy - you hear everything from the Lido pool - music, movies, morning “show’”. for those who love the hustle and bustle of the lido pool deck, it may be fine. We avoid the Lido pool deck at all costs, so for us it was a no brained to turn it down and keep our quiet aft overlooking the wake.

Little nervous over some comments posted about it being noisy and the balcony view being terrible. How was your experience with those? We absolutely loved it, but I do agree that the balcony was lacking when compared to others we have had and the PH it was connected to. A small portion faces Lido so you can see some of the action, but the largest part facing the outside of the ship is partially obstructed by a life boat. The balcony on PH1 is also close to the smoking area, so you may get some of that. If you look at my profile pic you will see the view from the part of the bedroom. The view out the living room windows are about the same. Because it has full view of the pool area, you are going to get the associated noise, but that really didn't bother us. It was nice to watch some of from the AC. haha. The only "noise" that really bothered me at any point was due to the dragging of chairs on the deck above the room. If you sleep in, this may be an issue. Even with the above mentioned stuff, I would still book the room again in a heartbeat. The overall level of service we received was outstanding. If you are not already Platinum status, you will be for that cruise and receive all the benefits. From the time we walked up to the counter and they saw which room we had, we were personally escorted through security and directly to our rooms, within 10 minutes or so. That was awesome. There was definitely a different level of service that we experienced on that cruise than any of the others. I hope that helps. I know everyone is different and I read some of those same reviews, but our experience was outstanding. Let me know if you have any questions. Yah, if you avoid Lido at all costs, you probably made the right call. When the curtains are open in the bedroom and living room, that is all that you see. There would have been no escaping it. While this room would have been awful for us, others would do in a heartbeat.
