Royal carribean European cruise currency

Recommended Posts

Hello, we have been booking a royal carribean cruise around the Mediterranean and noticed room prices are in pounds, and the drinks packages are in dollars. Does anyone know what currency any onboard purchases are? Does the casino accepts euros? Or dollars?

Many thanks!

Currency onboard all RC ships regardless of location is US Dollars. Don't know about the casino, but Guest Services will accept Euros, but at a poor exchange rate.

We have sailed all over Europe and Mediterranean on RC and they used US dollars. Not having Euros not sure if the casino would exchange but I would guess the exchange rate would be poor.

The ATM on the ship is in dollars, but something in the back of my head says I might have seen one with Euros once.........that I am not positive about.

I would plan on dollars.
