AT&T is now offering cruise packages on Carnival!!

Any word on if ATT will pro-rate this? Say I add it, and then 9 days later cancel it, will they prorate the 50 / 100 across the days added?

In the past we used our AT&T phone for $2.49 per minute so this is up a cent. If you really want your phone the $100 fee is not that bad.

I am not sure this is such a great deal. If I have to call home on the ship, it is only $1.99 per minute calling from my stateroom.

 

I have been using the ATT Day Pass when I cruise/travel for $10 a day per 24 hour period. I have total use of whatever ATT plan I have - free unlimited calls, text, and use of my data plan with no extra charge. I facetime with my family at home, use google maps, my apps, etc., - no roaming fees or extra data charges. They have an extensive list of islands/countries you can use it in. We have used it when traveling on cruises, and on land vacays in South Africa, and Europe. It has saved us hundreds of dollars in ATT bills - especially for data usage. (we have a family plan of 15 gigs) We also save on the data end by using free wifi when available. You just have to make sure your phone is in airplane mode while at sea so you won't be charged roaming fees.

 

For example - on my Conquest cruise we were in 4 ports - it cost me $40 total with the ATT day pass. It comes out cheaper than the other international plans ATT has. Again, I only use it in port - I try to disconnect as much as possible when at sea - cell phones go into airplane mode!
