Good morning! We wrapped up the night in the casino and finally gave up when our little stack of chips turned into no stack. It was a good day 1.

Here is our view this morning. 9501cc6aff972bb3fe997aaa256eb9b7.jpg

I have pictures of the Daley from yesterday and today and will post them once I get to a spot with better WiFi. On my balcony it’s pretty bad.

We are off to find food, then the meet and greet is today at 11 am.

The meet and greet was this morning and there was a great turnout. Five senior officers were there and answered questions. Manny the hotel director was great.

Aidan and I just grabbed lunch at the buffet and back in our chairs reading. We are up in the Quiet Zone on deck 18. It’s great up here, plenty of chairs and no thrumping music. Don’t get me wrong, I love the craziness around the pool but this is nice too. At noon they brought around fruit skewers and little icee things. But this is our view...

Can’t complain!

Thanks everyone who is following along! [emoji4]

I had to laugh at your picture of the celery sticks that came with the wings. For some unknown reason to me the celery sticks are always itty bitty things in O'Sheehan's. One time I was actually served the leafy tops of celery with the wings on our Panama Canal cruise on the Star.

I'm enjoying your review. Thanks for taking the time to write it and include pictures.

Maybe they think “who eats the celery anyway?” It’s about the same as adding a piece of parsley for plate decoration. [emoji23]

We board on the 31st. I'm so excited. Thanks for the live info it is great to see what we have to look forward to. What is the temperature?

It was not super warm when we left Orlando but it was great today. I think officially it was upper 70’s but was really nice and hot in the sun!

Teppanyaki for dinner and it did not disappoint. Between the four of us we pretty much covered it all - filet, shrimp, scallops, chicken and calamari. We are all now stuffed!!

I have news for the wine drinkers out there. It looks like an updated wine list has been rolled out. This is the wines by the glass...

So Aidan and I just figured out that our iMessage works so we can text each other even though he is not logged in to the internet. I had heard of this being possible over a year ago but I thought NCL had closed that loophole. We are both on airplane mode and connected to the ships WiFi.

Thanks for the picture of the wine list. I'm a wine drinker and the one thing that jumped out at me in your picture was the missing image and prices for a glass and a half of wine. I hope they still offer that. Here's a picture of the wine list on the Star when we did our Panama Canal cruise this past December. Getting a glass and a half was very convenient for us especially when we retired to our cabin for the evening.

I’m not sure what happened to the official glass and a half, but every glass I’ve received has definitely been much more than a standard glass of wine. I know you can ask for a long pour so so far that has not been necessary!

I got to the pool deck at 8:35 and after a quick glance at the sea of empty chairs - empty of actual people, full of towels, bags and books - decided to just head back up to deck 18. It’s windy up here today but at least there is room! This is the first year Aidan has really wanted to be on a lounger with us so I’m having to get three chairs instead of two. He’s found that he likes reading in the sun (almost) just as much as his mom. He has a book to read this week for AP Lang and luckily he’s enjoying it so he will be up here as soon as he wakes up. The texting through iMessage is still working by the way. [emoji106]
