Port Canaveral to MCO

Hello,

 

I have searched some but most threads are for MCO to the Port.

 

It has been over 10 years since we have flown in/out of MCO.

 

For the 3rd time our return home flight has been changed by the airline. Each time to an earlier. How safe is it to make a 12:15 flight from MCO? Or how much will we have to rush to get off the ship, race to MCO (we are using Contrans), and hope security isn't backed up?

 

We saw on MCO website, which suggests arriving 3 hours prior to flight.

 

We always do self assist. We usually have that last breakfast in the dining room (waiting there when the doors open). We are platinum (this will be the first cruise) Seems like that breakfast in dining won't be happening.

 

Seems like this latest flight change to 12:15, is going to cause headaches.

You can make a 12:15 flight. You could even take ship's transfers for a 12:15 flight.

Do you think it is safe for breakfast in the dining if we are at the dining room when they open?

 

Or perhaps what is the latest time you would try to be off the ship?

I would want Cortans picking me up at 8am. Most cruise lines open their food operations 60-90 minutes early on the last morning. I think you will be fine.

Arriving at MCO 90 minutes to 2 hours prior to departure, for domestic flights, should be plenty of time to check bags and clear TSA. I agree with Bruce - I would try to be in a shared shuttle and rolling by about 8:30 or so.
