Heathrow to Southampton

I've a cruise booked for the end June. I'm off to the fjords on Azura.

 

I have flights booked to Heathrow but what is the best way to get to Southampton.

 

I'm flying the day before so I have plenty of time.

 

Any advice would be much appreciated.

On possibility (which might not be practical if you have a lot of luggage) would be the rail-air coach link from Heathrow to Woking station, from where you can get a fast train to Southampton, and then a taxi to the cruise terminal.

Another excellent company are BritishAirportTransfers.co.uk Fantastic service from Heathrow, they do cruise transfers s well.

Further to the earlier post I have used Smiths many times and have always found them to be very reliable.

We've done it once, flew out of Heathrow & left the car there. Sailed back to Southampton & got Smiths for airports to take us back to Heathrow. Great service, would definitely use them again & recommend them:D

National Express - very reliable and easy.

We've used National Express as well found them very good. Have booked two return journeys from Heathrow leaving in April for £57 return. Your luggage is put in the hold so you 're not watching it all the time as you would have to on the train.

Couldnt you have booked Flybe from Scotland direct into Southampton?...

 

I`ve done that before and I`ve never had a problem with Flybe - I`ve only missed one flight with them but that was my fault...

If you are flying BA into Terminal 5 then National Express pick up at Terminal 5 direct to Southampton coach station where you'll get a taxi. Thats what I am doing in 3 weeks time.

We're flying BA Belfast to Heathrow T5 as Flybe Belfast to Southampton was double the price with 20kg. BA is 23kg and more flights.

To me flying into Heathrow when you want to be in Southampton seems like a round about way of getting there but whatever works for you

I know what you're saying but didn't want to pay £400+ for Flybe with 20kg allowance , when we booked BA for £224 with 23kg, us women like the extra kgs. Will enjoy, thank you.

Another option is to use a Southampton taxi which will be a lot cheaper than the airport taxi price
