Uber Dropoff/Pickup Port of Charleston

Few quick questions for our upcoming cruise out of Charleston:

 

Parking for the week at the Hilton Garden Inn just across the bridge and taking Uber to the Port/Back.

 

Does Uber dropoff in the normal car line, and just get to skip the line and head to the Luggage tent or do they dropoff where the Taxis/Buses do?

 

I'm assuming it easier to walk out the gate and get picked up on the street a block or so away from the port on the return trip?

 

Any other hints or suggestions would be appreciated.

On drop off, Uber will drop you off at the tent with your luggage. Then you will shuttle to the terminal. There was no line for Uber drop offs which was nice.

 

For pick up, you walk out to the main road and they pick you up there. It's not a far walk at all, just outside of the port area.

 

At least that's all how it was when I was there last year.
