lel5344 Posted April 1, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 1, 2018 Celebrity has advised me that I can use one of their Assisted Listening Devices in the theatre on the Eclipse, but they didn't say what kind of device. Can anyone tell me what that device might be? Is it a Tcoil or something else? Thanks!
lel5344 Posted April 2, 2018 Author #2 Share Posted April 2, 2018 I am somewhat astonished. More than 24 hours and not a single response. Surely there are Cruise Critic members who have some information to share. :o
Covepointcruiser Posted April 2, 2018 #3 Share Posted April 2, 2018 My husband is also very hard of hearing. He has not used one of their devices. However, very few concessions are made for hearing disabled people. One thing that always irked us was the lack of closed captions on the TVs. There is no excuse for this and we have complained in person and on our reviews. I would also like to know about the devices you can use in th theater. StolidCruiser Posted April 2, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 2, 2018 What was their response when you asked for clarification on what type of device was available? Did you contact the Special Needs Department for more information? This might be helpful to get the answers you seek. Here is some information from their website. Take note of the information at the bottom of the page. https://www.celebritycruises.com/special-needs/accessibility/vision-and-hearing Good luck! Rare ghstudio Posted April 2, 2018 #5 Share Posted April 2, 2018 I saw a number of hearing loop (t-coil) signs on the infinity last week. I don’t know if other ships have the same system. Sent from my iPad using Forums

Take note of the information at the bottom of the page. https://www.celebritycruises.com/special-needs/accessibility/vision-and-hearing Good luck! When I contacted them, RCCL described it as an "assisted listening device" with no further description. It was pretty much a form letter type of answer and I thought I'd get better info here. Sent from my iPad using Forums I'm guessing it's the same throughout the fleet! Thanks!
