Swim with dolphins in St. Maarteen

My daughter wants to swim with the dolphins at one of the ports we'll be visiting on our cruise in November, I was looking through the list of excursions available in St. Maarteen and most (if not all) of those sites are saying they're closed and to check back in early 2018. I'm guessing this is due to the hurricane. Has anyone done this type of excursion recently? I'd like to know in case this is still true then I'd have to plan the dolphin excursion at another port (possibly St. Kitts). Thank you.

Consider an excursion where you can view dolphins in the wild, where they belong.

I agree with the above posters...it's not really the most animal friendly excursion.

 

Not sure which areas/ports it is but I know some centres are under increasing pressure from animal groups and some have closed?

 

May be you could spot the dolphins when on the ship? We did this in 2014 and it was lovely (and free of course);
