Cute Cedilla Posted April 8, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 8, 2018 Apologies if this has already been discussed, I'm new to this. What is to happen to P&O Oriana? Rumour has it that she is to be sold but cruises are still advertised. Any reliable information?
Rare Keith1010 Posted April 8, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 8, 2018 Welcome to Cruise Critic. I would post this on the dedicated P&O Cruise Line Board found at: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=-1&f=38 Keith
Velvetwater Posted April 8, 2018 #3 Share Posted April 8, 2018 Was it Adonia that was sold last year and not Oriana? According to those tracker websites shes off the coast of Portugal probably enjoying the start of her Summer European season.
jocap Posted April 8, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 8, 2018 (edited) Yes, Adonia was sold to Azamara. The Oriana sale has been rumoured for some time now, especially when a new ship is announced; she's a small ship and adult only, which is important, especially as P&O are having to replace the adult Adonia with the (now) family friendly Aurora next year to make it 3 ships again. If Oriana left, then I don't know how the line could cope with adult only, as they will be left with ever larger ships coming out every other year or so, and people would be tempted to move to C&M and Fred Olsen. Just my thoughts... see the P&O page, where this keeps being discussed. :) Edited April 8, 2018 by jocap mistake!
