Hawaii to Vancouver weather in May

Can anyone tell me what the weather and the seas are like in early May when cruising from Hawaii to Vancouver? Don't know whether to pack shorts or dockers! Thanks

The last two days or so will be cooler, and it can be rougher. Layers may very well be required.

Do bring clothing to layer as it can be cooler as you make your way to Vancouver.

 

As to sea swells there always can be some so be prepared for that if seas bother you by bringing something to prevent sea sickness just to be on the safe side.

We did this several years ago -- a great trip. Went from sun and sand in Hawaii to snow in Canada. As others said, the warm weather disappeared quickly after we left Hawaii. We were in jeans and sweatshirts on the ship for the crossing.
