G&TQ Posted April 14, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 14, 2018 I just can't remember is it the mid and aft elevator bank that is closed in embarkation for luggage delivery or just the mid elevators? wemjam Posted April 14, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 14, 2018 I am not sure about the aft, because I have never tried to use those, but I know they don't shut down the entire middle section. They shut down part of them, but not all of them. I would guess that maybe the do that will all the elevators on all ends, maybe put some of them out of operation but not all of them. This - since people board in a flow (not a crush like debarkation), we have never had issues getting one of the center elevators as we board. Motegi Posted April 14, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 14, 2018 We’ve only seen embarkation day partial closure for luggage transport on our cruises as well.

SadieN Posted April 16, 2018 #8 Share Posted April 16, 2018 Some elevators will be closed for luggage. Depends on the ship which ones are used. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Wave61 Posted April 16, 2018 #9 Share Posted April 16, 2018 On our last cruise in Feb on the Victory they had some of the center closed and they had one in the center that had a crew member operating it as an express elevator going to the lido deck only. It was a great idea!
