chf1953 Posted April 15, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 15, 2018 The doors are metal you have to provide the magnets.
dmdiver Posted April 15, 2018 #3 Share Posted April 15, 2018 Our little refrigerator magnets kept falling off, so you'll need strong ones. Our Magic magnet is really strong, but I don't want to risk it getting stolen, so it stays at home. Our reason for the magnets was to help spot our room. Now we just use those swirly decorations that are intended to hang from the ceiling. We just hook them on our mailbox and we can see our room from down the hall. They're a buck or two for a set of three and pack flat, so they work well for us.
Vidimom Posted April 15, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 15, 2018 We sailed on the Magic in February and magnets didn't stay well at all. I used command strips for hanging items and poster putty for putting things on the door and they worked fine.
rpyne Posted April 16, 2018 #5 Share Posted April 16, 2018 I'll be taking my first ever cruise on the Magic in October and I want to decorate our cabin doors for my grandchildren. The one question I still haven't been able to get answered is how wide are the doors?
dmdiver Posted April 16, 2018 #6 Share Posted April 16, 2018 I guess no one has ever measured the cabin doors, but my guess would be 30-32 inches wide. Maybe someone out there has a measuring app on their phone? I'm looking at my laundry room door trying to decide if the cabin door is as wide. You might try calling Carnival - I would think they would have the dimensions so they could give that info to people that have wheelchairs & strollers. dmdiver Posted May 14, 2018 #8 Share Posted May 14, 2018 I think I only saw 2 doors decorated last week. One was various welcome aboard photos stuck on the door. I don't recall what the other one was.
grandmarnnurse Posted May 14, 2018 #9 Share Posted May 14, 2018 I have one of those magnetic signs that I had made. It is one big flat magnetic type pad. Will this stick? I’m sailing the Breeze in 2019 and Magic in 2020. Hopefully it will stick on both those doors. Sent from my iPad using Forums
