hmcrn Posted April 22, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 22, 2018 HI everyone! Just checking to see if anyone has done a tour after embarkation on the way to SCL? We have all day, so looking for something entertaining and scenic both. Has anyone off the last bunch of around the horn cruises hired a company for 8 - 16 people? What did you do? Was luggage a problem with a full van? I would love feedback! We will be doing B.A to San Antonio in March 2019. Thanks!
koolforkatz Posted April 27, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 27, 2018 I would highly recommend Michael the German Pirate. We booked him for a Valparaiso/winery tour for the day (we were on a B2B) in March. However there were others who booked him for pickup from ship to airport and they also had a very nice tour including a winery. He is very good and his communication is excellent. We had a great tour - saw Valparaiso, Vino del Mar (lunch on the beach) and a winery. http://www.myvalparaiso.cl/inicio
Nebr.cruiser Posted April 28, 2018 #3 Share Posted April 28, 2018 We had a great day with Christian the Van Man. Our group was probably about 16-20; not together outside of the tour. He had a nus small bus/large van with a trailer on behind for the luggage. We did a winery tour, stopped at a great place for a late lunch (price not included), dropped some people off at the airport who were leaving earlier and then did a short tour of Santiago for those of us with later flights. Did you contact him via email? How long did it take him to respond? I send a email 3 days ago and not even an acknowledgement. Maybe spoiled but normally get replies in 24-48 hours. Nebr.cruiser Posted May 6, 2018 #6 Share Posted May 6, 2018 Well, it was several years ago. I seem to remember that it took a few days for him to respond, but can't be sure. I wish I was more help!
