Sea and Me Posted April 30, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 30, 2018 A little help please. Our granddaughter will turn 15 the day we are in port in Cozumel. I was wondering where we could connect to wifi there. I told her for her birthday that she could connect with her friends at home. I really don’t want to buy any package on the ship since most of the family will be on the cruise. Anyone have any tips and places that we can use wifi?? Thanks and have a great day. Quilcruisers Posted April 30, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 30, 2018 Check with your wireless provider. Once you are in port, Mexico may be included in your plan. We have a plan with Verizon and we had normal coverage in Mexico at thanksgiving. Sent from my iPad using Forums
Rare Silent Penguin Posted April 30, 2018 #3 Share Posted April 30, 2018 We've used the free wi-fi at Starbucks close to the port in Cozumel.
c-leg5 Posted April 30, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 30, 2018 We've used the free wi-fi at Starbucks close to the port in Cozumel. Ok if you dock in town. OP - depends what your plans are for the day - most beach bar/ clubs have internet access.

Are you traveling Carnival or Princess? If so, they dock at the Puerta Maya pier. There is a restaurant in the port area called Pancho's Backyard. They will tell you they don't have free wi-fi, but if you buy something to eat or drink they will give you the password. You can sit outside at a table and she can connect. It's a nice place to hang out for a while and is close to the ship. Here's a picture taken from the restaurant towards the water so you can see how far it is. JohninDC Posted April 30, 2018 #6 Share Posted April 30, 2018 Wi-Fi is available at Paradise Beach, Nachi Cocom, Sanchos, and other beach clubs - what else are you planning to do that day?
