pal Posted May 2, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 2, 2018 First Mexican Rivera cruise. Been to Cabo and PV. Never been to Mazatlan. Heard there are cliff divers...that would be interesting? Any suggestion for fun things to do other than snorkeling or beaches. Guests 55+ ... some back injury adults.
riffatsea Posted May 3, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 3, 2018 Hi, Mazatlan is a unique port. Once you take the tram to the exit of the port area there is an actual blue line painted on the street . You can follow it to the main plaza of the city. Along the way there are volunteer expats and snowbirds who hand out maps and point you in the right direction and answer questions. We like walking the line, sitting in the square , visiting the church and the indoor marketplace. Then we take one of the golfcart/type taxis called pulmonias, and take it to the cliff divers . We have walked back to the ship from that area but you can ask to go to the golden zone and shop and maybe get something to eat. Not sure if this sort of experience would be "fun" for you??? CruiserBruce Posted May 3, 2018 #3 Share Posted May 3, 2018 Pretty sure the cliff divers are in Acapulco, not Mazatlan.
riffatsea Posted May 3, 2018 #4 Share Posted May 3, 2018 They may not be spectacular but the Punta de Clavadistas is where they dive in Mazatlan: https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g150792-d153738-r126214055-Punta_de_Clavadistas-Mazatlan_Pacific_Coast.html
KroozNut Posted May 3, 2018 #5 Share Posted May 3, 2018 Pretty sure the cliff divers are in Acapulco, not Mazatlan. They are in Mazatlan too, just not as well known as Acapulco..
