Lucca - distance from coach drop off point

We are travelling to La Spezia and thinking of taking P&O's Lucca on Your Own Trip. Does anyone know how far it is to walk from the coach drop off point into the Old Town, say to the cathedral? Thanks

It has been a while, but the walk was about half a mile, maybe 2/3s of a mile, IIRC.

I would not do Lucca from la spezia unless you have already visited cinque terre. Lucca is more easily accessible and cheaper from Livorno port.

We have walked from the shuttle drop off point to the cathedral and it is a 20 minutes walk if you were to go straight there. We climbed some towers and browsed our way there. Make sure you have a good map as the streets are not always clearly marked and are not in a grid pattern. I used my compass to keep us in the right direction. No data roaming on my phone, too expensive
