Bon Voyage Experience on the Emerald Princess

I've done several BVE in Seattle. You park at the lot at Pier 91 (usual cost has been $7.00) and ride the shuttle over to the pier. You are off the ship about 3:00 and the shuttle is still running. We're going down on June 16th to do a BVE on the Ruby as we sail on her a month later and my DH has it in his head that he wants to do this. You book it through your TA.

Thanks! We’ve left from Seattle many times on cruises but have never left the ship close to departure to go back to the car. ;)

 

What time do you recommend arriving at the Port to do one of these?

Arrive at the pier about 10am. The terminal building usually opens up to allow passengers to enter the building with other early arrivals so you can get in line to go in, go upstairs and go through security and check-in and be ready to go on board the ship at 11:30 which is when boarding usually begins. Boarding time is determined when the ship goes to "zero count" and all passengers have disembarked the ship. The first people to board the ship are usually wedding parties, people going onboard for a BVE and priority passengers so you want to be present, checked in, and ready to go!

And make sure that when you check-in they realize the guests are their for the BVE and if you are sailing on the cruise you can board when they do.

 

The BVE participants may get an e-mail from Princess saying that check-in/boarding starts at 1 PM. Ignore that notice. Be there around 10 AM as Tom suggests.
