Port Canaveral rental car

Recommended Posts

We are leaving on Adventure on May 25 and will be in Port Canaveral on May 27. According to the Port Canaveral log we will be docking at Pier 10. I know there is a shuttle that will pick you up and take you to the rental car offices near Pier 1 but has anyone had experience with getting back to the ship after the offices close? On the day we're there, they close at 4 and we'll probably be back around 6. I called a nearby taxi service and they said it was $12-$15 for the ride back to the ship. That seems expensive to me. Maybe Uber? Thank you for your help.

We dropped our rental off and called an Uber as i had a scooter. You can "walk" as it is about 1/2 mile to ship. There were taxi and uber pools at the rental office but they filled up fast. Like Bob said call an Uber, it will give you peace of mind.

Just to clarify, the 1/2 mile walk appears to be if you dock at the usual RC Port 1. But, when two RC ships are at Port Canaveral at the same time, one will usually use Port 10, as OP mentioned. Port 10 appears to be about 1.5 miles from the Alamo rental car office and may not be walkable (?) because of the bridge.
