CRUISERMOMX3 Posted May 19, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 19, 2018 I am taking my first solo cruise and want to make sure I can communicate with the fam and watch Netflix or YouTube if I get bored with myself, lol. Do I need to go with Premium option?
Kamloops50 Posted May 19, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 19, 2018 Don't see any internet packages that support Netflixs or You Tube.

Carpenter17 Posted May 19, 2018 #4 Share Posted May 19, 2018 Best place to find WIFI is on the Islands. The internet works but its really slow I got the more expensive package thinking it would be better but it still took forever to load things. ColeyBowli Posted May 19, 2018 #5 Share Posted May 19, 2018 I got the premium package on my first cruise. My family wanted to facetime and chat that way without outrageous phone bills. That was the biggest waste of money I've spent on a cruise. It hardly ever worked well enough for FaceTime. The next one I stepped down and it also wasn't worth it. My last 2 I've got the most basic one so I can send imessages or messages through Facebook messenger. Some people were able to post pics and stuff to Facebook but it was sporatic for me. However, it served it's purpose for messages with my friends on the ship and my family back home.
cruisinqt Posted May 19, 2018 #6 Share Posted May 19, 2018 If you’re going on one of the newer ships the WiFi is much faster. I’m hearing that the Vista has very good very fast internet speeds.
bbtbear Posted May 19, 2018 #7 Share Posted May 19, 2018 In the past I've downloaded movies I rented from Amazon onto a Kindle to watch in situations where I knew I couldn't stream them. Maybe you could do something like that?

Maybe you could do something like that? This is exactly what I was going to suggest I have around 10 or so movies downloaded to my ipad along with a multitude of books to enjoy when I am to bored on the ship
