What year and what ship was your first cruise?

Carnival Destiny, ex Barbados. Early May 2007!

 

The ship had been hired for dormitory purposes re. a 20/20 Cricket tourny

being held in these Eastern Caribbean islands,

Coming to the end of cricket, there were a few days of ship hire remaining

so a local cruise consultant took advantage of the surplus

and Barbados islanders jumped all over the opportunity, ourselves included!

 

The cruise bug bit. Badly.

It was only 3 days or so, but enough for infection to set in - lol.

It was the almost-life-changing escapism I didn't know I'd been looking for.

17 of us(family and related family/cousins) booked, and had a great time.

To date... She and I have now done 14 cruises!

Our first cruise was the Carnival Fantasy - four nights - in February 2005.  I think the ships just keep getting bigger and grander!
