Query about embarkation times please

Hello again,

We sail on symphony of the seas in 3 weeks.

On the website embarkation was stated as up to 6pm

When we checked in online today the latest embarkation slot was 2:30-3pm

We are due to arrive at 4pm from airport. I assume we will still get on! Just curious why there may be no later slots?

Any thoughts welcome.

Is your scheduled departure 6pm out of Barcelona and your flight lands at 4pm? If so, you are leaving yourself very little margin for delay. I would look for an earlier flight.

When I look at the itinerary displayed on the RCI website it states that the ship departs Barcelona at 1800 (6pm).

 

According to RCI all guests must be checked in at least 60 minutes prior to departure, https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/ship-boarding-arrival-time.

Thanks. We are leaving from Rome. Says departure is 8pm. Flight arrives 2pm so figured we would be at port and on ship by 4pm.

I believe the OP means they expect to arrive at the port at 4pm. They would definitely not make it if the flight was landing at 4PM.

Much better timing, you should have no problem boarding at 4pm.
