first cruise out of of Port Canaveral this December since moving to South Carolina.

What hotels allow you to leave your car for the week and have shuttles to NCL port?

Thanks for the input

Google Sleep Park Cruise Canaveral and you will find several options. .

Check the fine print before choosing an option. Some of them are not well secured, or you have to drive to a separate site to park. They have limited shuttle times, and some charge a fee for the shuttle in addition to the fee.

We have sailed out of Canaveral several times and we prefer to book an inexpensive hotel along I-95 and park at Park-N-Cruise on Merritt Island. I like their continuous shuttle times and I know their parking is safe and secure. We usually end up spending about the same as the cheaper inclusive options on less than the better ones.

Enjoy your cruise.

The four closest to the port with a park and cruise option is: Homewood Suites, Country Inn & Suites, Residence Inn and Radisson At The Port.

The first three also offer free breakfast.

We have used all but the Homewood Suites (newest hotel) without a problem.

Have a wonderful cruise!!!

You can leave your car but be aware it is not really free. The rate with parking will be more than just the room. We stayed at the Residence Inn Port Canaveral and we left our car there for $6/day. They had a shuttle to the ship for $8/pp but there were 3 of us and it was cheaper to take a cab....$15 for the cab instead of $24 for the shuttle.

We will have 6 people all together and 2 vehicles so will sit and run the math on all options. Thanks for the input

With six people you would probably need 2 cabs but it would still be cheaper than paying the per person charge for the shuttle. Plus if you take cab you can leave whenever you want instead of being on the shuttles schedule

I am in danger of repeating what others have said in this thread but I will also make a few new points!

1. Hotel parking near Port Canaveral during a cruise is never FREE! It can be as little as $6 per day per car or higher which means the rates are comparable or cheaper than official off-site parking lots but it is never FREE! You can check this yourself by comparing lowest rates for a room category with the Park&Stay rates for the same room category.

2. Hotel parking may be cheaper or comparable with off-site lots but you have to compare the gated versus non-gated security, the port shuttle frequencies, whether you keep your keys or not, number of riders included and additional options such as car covers.

3. Every hotel is different in terms of where your car is parked, the daily costs, the maximum number of passengers included in the package and shuttle times. This makes for a rather lengthy research process if you are looking to get the lowest possible price for a Park & Cruise.

4. Always look at the fine print when booking Park & Cruise Packages - maximum people included, black-out dates, do you accrue hotel points, does it exclude other discounts you may be counting on such as AARP.

Often it is cheapest and far more convenient to get a lowest room quote via an online hotel booking site (or direct with the hotel if they guarantee lowest price), or using a discount code such as AARP and arrange the parking and port shuttles yourself. Remember, in this area hotel parking during your stay is free (but not while you cruise) - but always double check with the hotel anyways as rules change fast!

If saving money is your chief concern, a cruising couple can park at sites near the Port for as little $40 or $43 per 7 night cruise (less for shorter cruises) and the port shuttles are included. No hotel can match this I believe.

To see photos of ALL the ship-side and off-site parking lots and read about price comparisons - read The Insiders Guide to Port Canaveral Park & Cruise Options.
