If, like me, you have been wondering what effect the new planetarium has had to the lovely upper level of the explorers lounge you can check out panoramas on Oyster.com https://www.oyster.com/ships/311961-viking-spirit/all-panoramas/explorers-lounge--v490554/

Overall I feel it looks to have been well done and the new facility is worth the loss of space, even though that area has always been my favourite on previous ships.

What do you think?

We were on Orion for eight weeks, and left the ship two weeks ago.  The planetarium does take up space from the upper level of the Explorers Lounge.  We used the lounge a lot, and we never felt that it was overly crowded except for when there was a special event (lecture, etc).  The shows in the planetarium were interesting and the resident astronomer had  a lot of interesting lectures.

I didn't even know Oyster had photos of cruise ships.

I was surprised too and it is not easy to find, even on their site but they do also have similar coverage for the Star and Sky. Did you notice that "viking-spirit" was part of the URL? I wonder if they got access to the ship before the new name was announced?
