schwesterellibelli Posted June 10, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 10, 2018 Do kids under the age of 2 have to pay the full cruisefare with 2 adults ? Thanks
Shaded Lady Posted June 10, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 10, 2018 Yes... they count noses, not ages, unfortunately! so they'll pay the same rate as a third adult in a cabin would. Guests less than 2 years however are not expected to pay the $12.95/day gratuities.
nwo4life Posted June 10, 2018 #3 Share Posted June 10, 2018 The 3rd passenger in a cabin fare is usually way cheaper than the first 2.
boomhower Posted June 10, 2018 #4 Share Posted June 10, 2018 The 3rd passenger in a cabin fare is usually way cheaper than the first 2. But the same no matter how old the third passenger is.
MemphisFan Posted June 11, 2018 #5 Share Posted June 11, 2018 yep, they pay the same. But, I also noticed that the vast majority of this cost is the port fees and taxes, which Carnival has no control over. We are taking our little ones with us later this year, along with some other family members. We actually found it cheaper to book only 1 kid in our room and our other child in the grandparent's room. don't understand why body #4 jumped up higher than body #3 but it did. We were able to work around that. Some can't unless they have other rooms to put them in. Plus was really only $20-30 cheaper. But, when looking at our booking recently, fare #3 is actually only $50 in our room, with the rest being port fees and taxes.

MSC is a great option! NCL also runs a 3rd/4th sail free promo pretty often but MSC is far and away the best price wise.
Rare Tapi Posted June 11, 2018 #8 Share Posted June 11, 2018 MSC is a great option! NCL also runs a 3rd/4th sail free promo pretty often but MSC is far and away the best price wise. For families, MSC definitely offers the best bang for your buck. Their kids sail free promo is a TRUE kids sail free promo, not like other cruise line that jack up the 1st/2nd price to let the kids sail free. When our youngest is old enough for their kid's camp we will be transitioning to MSC for quite a bit of our cruising.
