Greyt Mom Posted June 16, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 16, 2018 Getting excited about my upcoming Alaska cruise in Sept. It's my first cruise!! What day in the cruise is the 'Evening at Le Cirque' typically offered? Does the MDR usually do a big event the last evening of the cruise? Is the Gala night still usually the first sea day (we'll have scenic cruising on Day 2.) I'll be aboard the Westerdam, 7 day cruise south from Anchorage to Vancouver. Thanks! I don't think Le Cirque is offered any longer. We had the pop-up Sel de Mer on our Alaska cruise. Haven't seen any big deal on the final cruise night for a couple of years. TBH it seems that is the night they want the diners out of the dining room as early as possible now. Enjoy your cruise, Alaska is spectacular :D

Quartzsite Cruiser Posted June 16, 2018 #5 Share Posted June 16, 2018 Since about the first of the year, Le Cirque is not offered any more on any of the HAL ships. The New York restaurant went bankrupt and closed. The other Le Cirques around the country were franchises, and I believe some of them are still open. The pop-up Sel de Mer is offered in the Pinnacle Grill one or two nights in place of Le Cirque on the ships that do not have the stand alone Sel de Mer. SeaBands Posted June 17, 2018 #8 Share Posted June 17, 2018 Sel de Mer is replacing Le Cirque on most cruises. I didn't read that it went bankrupt. Like Sel on Konigsdam but not as a 1 night pop up. Guess when Trump moved to DC they lost their best customer.
