champagne123 Posted June 24, 2018 #26 Share Posted June 24, 2018 And it was $18 pp per day? It is $18pp per day to upgrade to Classic. You have to call...and it also includes gratuities, where "Drinks on Us" does not.
stoddaj1 Posted June 24, 2018 #27 Share Posted June 24, 2018 The upgrade from Drinks On Us to premium is $26 pp per day.
waterbabyfish Posted June 25, 2018 #28 Share Posted June 25, 2018 I provided the link above. Is no one clicking on it? It provides ALL the information you are asking about. I would click on it if I could, but msc web site will not open on my phone Sorry for asking if water was included in the drinks for us promotion. YourCruiseGurl Posted June 25, 2018 #31 Share Posted June 25, 2018 Does anyone know what wines are included? I read somewhere that it is two whites, two reds and a Proseco. But which whites and which reds? They’re playing with my emotions here. Lol I’ll probably upgrade to classic anyway...
Mrearl Posted June 25, 2018 Author #32 Share Posted June 25, 2018 That is all that is listed two reds two whites it would be the ships choice of which ones. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Tin Posted June 25, 2018 #34 Share Posted June 25, 2018 also make me wonder, does kids get the non-alcoholic pkg? will it requires the 15% service fee? if you upgrade to Classic, does your kids have to upgrade too?
GORDONCHICK Posted June 27, 2018 #35 Share Posted June 27, 2018 We booked Seaside for next March, Fantastica experience. Unbeknownst to us, we booked under the Drinks on Us promo, but we'd rather have the 12 drink tickets per person. We don't drink alcohol or coffees. Think we can trade for the drink tickets, where we can use them for gelato?
waterbabyfish Posted June 27, 2018 #36 Share Posted June 27, 2018 I asked this question a month ago and got no response...with this promotion, when you are still in port having a drink I realised that you are charged the 15% gratuity but is there a local tax on top of that because you are still in port? NCL does this but not sure about MSC. Sent from my SM-S320VL using Forums mobile app

Sent from my SM-S320VL using Forums mobile app It's my understanding that it has more to do with the ports (you may be speaking of the embarkation port) than the cruise line. It's the local laws. waterbabyfish Posted June 27, 2018 #38 Share Posted June 27, 2018 Wished my friend drank...i would upgrade to classic then. She doesn't drink or eat ice cream so it doesn't make it worthwhile to upgrade! Sent from my SM-S320VL using Forums mobile app
GORDONCHICK Posted June 27, 2018 #39 Share Posted June 27, 2018 I called to see if I could get the Drinks on Us promo taken off and they told me that I would have to pay full brochure price - twice the amount - to take it off and to pay full deposit per person instead of $99 per. Not starting off on a very positive note, I've got to say.

LynnTTT Posted June 27, 2018 #41 Share Posted June 27, 2018 We upgraded from the Drinks on us to the Classic package for $18 pp per day. That takes care of the frozen drinks we like. Also, with the Drinks on Us you pay a gratuity on each drink. With the Classic package that we upgraded to, the gratuity is included so that makes a big difference. ____________________________________________________ We'll be on the Seaside in August. Were you offered the upgrade ahead of time or when you boarded? Maybe we should contact MSC ahead of time? Did you think it was worth it to upgrade? waterbabyfish Posted June 27, 2018 #42 Share Posted June 27, 2018 Is it because MSC is a foreign ship? Because ncl charged us local taxes when in port in miami. Sent from my SM-S320VL using Forums mobile app

Sent from my SM-S320VL using Forums mobile app Unless you're on the Pride of America, they are all foreign ships. That aside, NCL doesn't charge you, the local government does. NCL simply collects and passes it on.
