Pre Piad Visa Card For On board Expense Account

I doubt this is possible but figured I would ask. I received a $300 pre paid visa gift card from Direct Tv few months ago for signing back up. I have been holding onto it so use as spending money for the cruise. I know there are a lot of limitations with these cards "cant use them at the atm ext...." I know its doubtful but any chance you could use this to set up your on board expense account?

I used a pre paid mastercard on my cruise, my only suggestion is check their t and c's. Ive used 2 different ones on the 2 cruises I've taken, first one had no issues at all with but my latest cruise clearly stated in the t & c that it wasn't recommended due to the way the cruise line puts holds on the card, I chose to use it any way and I'm still waiting for the holds to release ( takes up to 30 days with this particular card)

Can you buy cruise cash when you are on board or is it something that has to be done ahead of time. I just see that its no refundable. So I would hate to buy $300 and not use it all. But if we could purchase it on board as we needed it that would work.

You can buy online before. Then if you don't use it all you go to casino on last evening and load the remaining balance onto a slot machine. Spin once and then go cash out at the casino teller. They will give you cash. Search casino cash out trick for more info. Make sure you get cruise cash not bar cash as that won't work for casino trick or anything besides drinks. Cruise cash is good for anything.

Non refundable OBC is used first. Could always use $181.30 of it for gratuities. ($12.95 x 7days x 2 pax)
