I object 2 Posted June 26, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 26, 2018 I was completing our Guest Check In info for a future cruise and had this message pop-up when I entered credit card information: "If you are using a credit card to pay for your onboard charges, a surcharge fee of 1.1% will be applied. Debit cards do not incur a surcharge." Is this something new?
RDC1 Posted June 26, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 26, 2018 I would guess that you are booking a cruise departing from Australia. Standard practice there.

windsor26 Posted June 26, 2018 #5 Share Posted June 26, 2018 This has been the case for most of the CCL owned cruise lines based in Australia but we are so used to being charged for using a credit card ion lots of places here it was not too much of a shock I wish we had the same laws as USA and they were not allowed to charge for using credit cards It is quite a bit on the price of a cruise when you pay that way as 2.5% adds up I do try to pay via bpay using the credit card so I can get travel insurance but not all companies allow this and one actually charges 1% if you pay that way
