This Washington State Ferry boat has special meaning to Susan and I. In October of 2005, i took Susan on a date night to the waterfront. We had dinner at the Red Robin on Pier 55 and then took a ride on the Washington State Ferry to Bainbridge Island and back to Seattle. On the trip back into Seattle, in the pouring down rain (So Seattle for you), I proposed to Susan just under the bridge. The ferry boat Tacoma will always have special meaning to us.

We started walking to the Olympic Sculpture Park. Halfway there the skies opened up and we dove for cover. I called an Uber to pick us up.

We got dropped off at my compass in Downtown Seattle: Nordstrom's Flagship Store!

 

We headed downstairs to the Metro level and headed to the Nordstrom Grill.

Everyone except Susan got the Crab Bisque. It is freaking awesome, especially with the warm bread they bring to the table! I am getting hungry thinking about it!

The Nordstrom Grill is a quaint little spot inside a bustling department store.

After Dinner, the three of us had to wait for Jenner. This will become a common theme.

We arrived back at Angle Lake, called the hotel for a shuttle back, and got out suitcases ready for tomorrow. An early morning awaited us, as we were catching the morning train to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

With that I will call it a night. I had an extremely long day at work and I am exhausted. Till tomorrow!

The next morning at 5 am, we headed down for Breakfast.

After checking out, we headed outside to wait for the Uber.

We turned onto King Street.

A while later, Susan headed upstairs and took a few pictures from the balcony. The station has gotten considerably busier.

We finally get started Northbound. Through the tunnel, we emerge on the Waterfront near Pier 66.

 

 

The Norwegian Pearl is in Seattle today.

We headed through the BNSF Interbay yard
