TampaFLCruiser Posted July 1, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 1, 2018 Help! We are leaving on Oasis 7/8 & my husband is convinced that there has been a recent rollout and you can you the Royal app & the what’s up app to commicate & not worry about coming home to a cell phone bill off the charts. While doing that, with Royal’s WiFi (& not subscribing to VOOM) we can use our phones on the ship. I thought this wasn’t rollouted out yet on Oasis. Can someone pls clarify. If you've got a relatively new iPhone (or appropriate Android device) and an appropriate regular cellular network (e.g., AT&T, just activate "wifi calling." That will give you voice and text (iMessage) capability with no cost beyond your onboard internet. Settings: Airplane mode on Cellular data roaming off (just to be safe) WiFi calling on WiFi on and select your ship's purchased/gifted WiFi. Note: make sure that your phone's home screen display shows your regular cellular network's WiFi version ((e.g., AT&T WiFi Cellular)
