Then, we went directly to a little town, called Valldemossa. Oh my gosh, gorgeous, quaint, and not crowded. We were early so not sure if that impacted it. Also, it was a holiday where on November 1 they all go to the graves of their dead loved ones. We walked around the pretty town. Chopin had lived there… Also, there was a saint that lived there too, Santa Catalina Thomas. There was nothing not to love about this town! So glad Anna took us here!

Anna urged us to look in the windows as we felt very awkward doing so. She says that is why they have the windows and doors open so people can admire their foyers and front rooms.

There was a quite a bit of walking and hilly steps, so grabbing a quick rest and some sprinkling of holy water.

We stopped for a drink and a local snack, called coca de patata. It was kind of a potato bun with sugar. We said we really liked it, but it was only okay actually. 😊 There was a shop next door that we found beautiful handmade white sundresses for M and my younger granddaughters.

We headed back to Palma and toured the city, more of a walking tour. Luckily, M’s heel was not as bad today. Also, it was only a half day tour, which helped!

Palma is famous for its pearls. M got a beautiful bracelet and necklace with the most beautiful black pearls. I couldn’t choose so I didn’t get anything. I should have – they were so lovely!

We stopped to see the huge church in Palma, the Cathedral of Santa Maria of Palma, more commonly referred to as La Seu. Gorgeous! They were having a mass, so we could not go inside.

This was quite a remarkable and memorable port day. Loved it!! Very surprising as, when I was planning, I thought maybe we would want to skip touring in one port since it was a very “port-intensive” trip. This was the one that we would have been most likely to not go off the ship. We decided to get a tour since we were here, might as well see it all as we don’t know if we will ever make it back. So glad we did!!! We went to lunch at the Windjammer and did some shopping at the ship store – got the little boy grandsons all Lego watches. All souvenirs finished for all the grandkids!! Pretty good!

We watched the “runners” come back to the ship. Not really runners, but strollers who were late. One was in a scooter.

A ton of seagulls on the sailaway. Some fool was feeding them. Sailaway was on our side and then sunset was on M&F’s side – this is why we have the best of both worlds!

We explored the ship a little and went to Schooner’s bar tonight for a drink.

Then to the MDR for dinner. I had the Chops steak there. Service has been impeccable since the waiter substitution!
