sc4125 Posted August 9, 2018 #28 Share Posted August 9, 2018 This is what they have done the last few years, you missed it by one sailing. Enjoy a Frightfully Fun Halloween at sea! Carnival's Halloween celebration is always a fun and memorable time with a ghostly great entertainment line-up of fun-filled activities for all. Halloween will be celebrated on October 31st. Family Trick or Treat along the ship's promenade Costume Meet & Greet Halloween Parade - Calling all ghosts, goblins and ghouls for the most devilishly delightful parade of the year. Join in, disguised or not, in this festive pre-Halloween Costume Contest event! Frightfully Fun Costume Contest - Everyone loves a great costume. Channel your most frightfully fun look and compete for 'best costume'. Guests of all ages may attend but contestants must be adults 18+. Halloween Dance Party (for adults 18+) - Costume or no costume, join us for a festive celebration that is the highlight of the night. Our Youth Programs will feature a costume contest, dance party and games for the small ghosts and goblins! Strike a Halloween pose - Looking fabulously ghoulish? Stop by our frightfully fun backdrops for the photo event of the cruise. Casino hosted Halloween-themed events Halloween Pumpkin Carving Demonstration - Come see our master carvers as they turn innocent little pumpkins into spooky and creepy works of art! Special Halloween desserts and drink cocktails Halloween Trivia Halloween Bingo Carnival staff will join in the fun in their own frightfully fun costumes. Dive-In Movies Horror Night - Love scary movies? Grab a deck chair at Carnival Seaside Theater (featured on select ships) and hold onto your loved ones...these Halloween chillers will scare the midnight sunscreen off of you! Some films not edited. Parental discretion advised. Please Note: Both adults and children are encouraged to bring costumes and join in the fun. We do not allow any toy or imitation weapons of any kind on board nor do we allow guests to wear masks or bring real pumpkins. We will be on the Glory on Oct 20th - so, do you think they will be doing ALL of this for most of the month? I'm sure it would be fun, but it seems like it would be quite a bit more work for the crew (especially the entertainment staff). A Halloween Parade, Trick or Treating, and Halloween Costume Contest every week along with the other activities they normally have just seems like a lot, but still looking forward to it. TEXSUN46 Posted August 9, 2018 #29 Share Posted August 9, 2018 We are on the Freedom leaving Oct 20th, I don't participate in Halloween so didn't even think about it when we booked the cruise, but I look forward to seeing other people dressed up and think it will make for something different on this cruise. Mikew0805 Posted August 12, 2018 #32 Share Posted August 12, 2018 Not really into it or extending any holiday into a "season." Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day, are all on one specific date, and yet this commercialization of them (I guess halloween is commercial to begin with) makes the actual holiday very watered down. oh well.. I know I am in the minority on this one though. To those who like it, I am sure it is wonderful.
