having just read a post about the grand princess not allowing passengers into their cabins until 1pm, and coffee cards being loaded onto cruise card and not punched cards (therefore cannot use unused punches from old card ) was wondering if this was your experience before I board next week.

Rooms were available when we boarded in the Platinum group. Any "new" coffee cards that are purchased go on your ship card as a package with the same 15 specialty limit. We had no problems using old cards with punches left.

Can you use remaining coffees on next cruise or is it use it or lose it?

If you are talking about the "coffee package" rather than the coffee card, the punches expire at the end of the cruise. There is some confusion as to whether the punches will be good on the second leg of a B2B--I'll let you know about our experience in a few months.

If you are talking about old coffee cards, those punches are good until either the date marked on the card or 8/31/19, whichever comes first.
