Can you prepay gratuities anytime before the sail date or does it have to be done by final payment?

Would think that you could do it through your cruise manager on Carnival website.

Just wondering if you can add items like the gratuities after final payment or does it have to wait until you sail.

After final payment, you have to call Carnival to pre-pay them.

We usually pay at final payment so it’s done but you raise a good point. You would think you could do it up to the date of sailing (so you wouldn’t make the naughty list that everyone keeps talking about)

You can do it up until they close the "books" for the cruise (I think about 24 hours before). You can add prepaid grats at any point before or after final payment date.

There is no report when you are cruising that tells staff who paid grats, who didn't or who removed them. This is directly from Carnival. There is a report where crew can see this information after the cruise is over.
