Juneau Helicopter Dog Sledding Late in Day

Late booking this excursion, leaving in a week. Only times left are late in day 5pm.

I know this gets cancelled lots of times. Will this be too late? Dogs tired, etc?

Has anyone ever been this late? Thanks.

We did 3:30ish a week ago. Dogs were fine, but the snow was very grainy and mushers said there was not much left. Have a plan B.

If that is the only time you can get, you are ok with not going?

 

They don't run the same dogs all day, long, there are multiple camp teams that are switched off for the dogs to get the required rest. It isn't that long of a ride anyway, and it isn't a race. They aren't "running". I've gone on dog sled trips, that went distances and for miles.
