tillyboy Posted August 4, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 4, 2018 Looking to book a 2019 Princess Cruise from Southampton to Rome. Not sure which airport to use, Gatwick or Heathrow? Since the cruise is not until next year, do I have plenty of time to decide which airport to use, and then book the transfers? Do the cruise buses only drop you off at the terminal, or will they take you to a hotel near the terminal? Thanks for any info!
Rare LHT28 Posted August 4, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 4, 2018 most cruiseline transfers go from A to B unless you book their hotel package ($$$) best to book a private car firm & maybe find others on your cruise to share the trip (check your Roll Call)

Pick your airport by price, might be much cheaper to to use Heathrow coming from the states. Check out princess eazyair., cruise line oneway air prices are as much as 50% under the airline price. Cruise line transfers are a last choice in pricing. Last year we use Blackberry cars for our transfer from Kensington to Southampton, price was 110.00 pounds for two of us. Gatwick would be about half.
