Thanks for these posts Mysty.

Things have kind of gone upside down in so many ways lately.

I'm having trouble laughing it off.  Time for a bit of deeper thought & you are helping with that process. 🥰

And lots of them will have forgotten, of course.

NEVER!  Vinyl records have returned in strength.  Even my 30+ son bought a turntable and LPs.  In fact, it turns out I had good taste back in the day and he took a good selection of my LPs! Pink Floyd lives again!

Dessert for Thought.....

The Rainy Day
by
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

next.png
Next

The day is cold, and dark, and dreary
It rains, and the wind is never weary;
The vine still clings to the mouldering wall,
But at every gust the dead leaves fall,
And the day is dark and dreary.

My life is cold, and dark, and dreary;
It rains, and the wind is never weary;
My thoughts still cling to the mouldering Past,
But the hopes of youth fall thick in the blast,
And the days are dark and dreary.

Be still, sad heart! and cease repining;
Behind the clouds is the sun still shining;
Thy fate is the common fate of all,
Into each life some rain must fall,
Some days must be dark and dreary.

It’s great to see a funny funny! 😄

I’d beat your source on that one.  I’d have a castle or two ….. and if I’d carried on through to pension time I’d own a small country.  I’m not exactly ugly you understand.  Just choose carefully who I ask.

There is something lovely about sitting down in the kitchen whilst stuff is cooking and smelling nice and having an amuse-boucche.

Today’s pre-lunch glug is Goats do Roam.

Jeff

You've actually come up in the world from the real Goats do Roam:

The second one is sadly very true.  Voice of bitter experience.
