9 Night Cruise on Harmony

Recommended Posts

Hi: I have been looking at a 9 day cruise on the Harmony for next March and it really appeals to me. I love the Oasis ships and have been on the Allure and the Oasis. Don't use all the bells and whistles but love the casino, the gym, the shows and solarium and the food is fine.

I am thinking there would be less children on a 9 day and wondering if there would be less people in general. Not sure though. Wonder also if there would be additional entertainment on the extra two days and what that might be.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Thanks for your reply. Sounds good actually. I would assume the passengers all would have plenty of time on their hands seeing they are on vacation. lol

Looking forward to hearing from others who have been on longer cruises especially on the Harmony or other Oasis class ships. Interested to know if there is entertainment every night,if people know and also if they find the ship less crowded because it is beyond the regular week.

Thanks again in advance for any helpful information.

What you get with the longer cruises is older people with lots of time on their hands. Pick your poison carefully.

What exactly did you mean? Didn’t know lucky to be retired folks are poison. Guess what? We can even do B2b’s.

I typically book the 9-11 day trips....for the very reason you stated, less spring breaker/booze cruise types. You will not be starved for entertainment on the Harmony regardless of how long the cruise is. As for less crowded....Royal sells mostly all their sailings especially during wave season (March, April) so expect max capacity.

Differences can be like night or day. We have done 12 night transatlantics on Oasis, Allure and soon Symphony. The ship has 1500 - 2000 less kids and a huge number of solo travelers in balcony cabins. I remember our Allure sailing had 4800 total passengers. Seems like the TA"S are filled with lively C@A members. Never a line or wait for anything. Knock on wood, all our TA'S have had great weather. Looking at your signature it seems you are Diamond, each night they used Blaze, jazz on 4 and Dazzles as Diamond party locations. Check out Royals air2sea program. Last year flights from LAX to Heathrow were well under $400.00 pp we had economy plus on Virgin Atlantic for $650.00pp. Check out some youtube videos for transatlantics, great way to spend two weeks. Last year we were on the Indy 15 night TA that included 5 islands in the Caribbean.
