janetmojo Posted August 16, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 16, 2018 So we are staying at an airbnbb very close to the cruise port on a Friday night. As in we can see the port but I don't think we want to walk there with all of our luggage (4 adults plus bags) Would an Uber or Taxi be easily available? I have only used Uber in the US so I'm not familiar.

You'll need to mention your 4 people + cruise baggage since many ubers / private-hire taxis won't be big enough. You'll need a "five-door estate car" or a "people-carrier" - if you ask for a "van" you might get a panel van :D JB :)
travellovers2 Posted August 23, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 23, 2018 You can find where your ship docks on this website and with that information you can look it up in the map and see if you can walk. Twice we have been able to walk to the pier and once we had the hotel call a taxi. Enjoy your cruise! http://www.southamptonvts.co.uk/Live_Information/Shipping_Movements_and_Cruise_Ship_Schedule/Cruise_Ship_Schedule/
vmom Posted August 27, 2018 #4 Share Posted August 27, 2018 We used a taxi earlier this month. There are several ship docks as previously stated. Our boarding information stated which dock out ship was at.
