Was wanting to use OBC to pay for a excursion. Do you pay when you book or do they put in on your bill to be paid at the end of the cruise?

You pay at the time of booking. If you book pre-cruise, they will charge it to your credit card. If you book on board, it goes on your onboard account.

 

Although they are NOT suppose to do it, you could call and ask to book, then defer payment until you are onboard when you have your credit. Don't get your hopes up, most times the answer is "no".

If you book online you pay then. So if you want to use OBC you have to wait until you are onboard to book.

Depends. For our Med cruises, we were able to book beforehand and pay onboard with OBC

depending on the ship, they are various way to book the excursion without visiting the desk such as using the app on your mobile device, the interactive TV by the elevator, the tv system in your cabin

We booked in late May over the phone for our 9/1/18 Bliss cruise and did not prepay. I'd assume we will get charged on the ship and have our credit applied at that time.
