Taxi from the port in Giradini Naxos to Taormina

Does anyone have recent info on available taxi service and costs from the cruise port in Giradini

Naxos to the town of Taormina? We visited Taormina on a tour during a previous cruise but want a less formal visit this time. We will be cruising on Windstar's Windsurf in October with 2 other couples. Thank you!

I didn't end up using one, but I researched the cost for a visit to Taormina from Giardini Naxos last May -- the cost each way for a taxi should be around 25 euro. You should be able to find a taxi at the entrance to the harbor/port area -- depending on where you tender, it can be a walk of several blocks.

Our schedule shows Taormina as our port and it also shows as a tender.

I believe we will tender into Giardini Naxos.

 

Wondering if anyone  has done this recently ?

 

1. Did your cruise line provide shuttles into Taormina ?

2. How much was a taxi back from Taormina back to the tender dock ?

3. What would be the best spot to catch a taxi from Taormina back to Giardini Naxos ?
