Luggage-carryon question

Hubby and I booked a quick3 nighter in Dec just the 2 of us. I plan on only taking a small suitcase or even just a duffle bag. Since it’s only 3 night there is no need for lots of clothing. We have FTTF as we want on ASAP, but my question is can we carry on our bag rather then checking it? Since we have FTTF we can bring the bags right to the room and then be on our merry way. I looked on the carnival website and could not find much other then checking it in. Thanks!

Per Carnival website:

Each checked suit case and carry-on suit case should not weigh more than 50 pounds, and when lying flat, bags must not exceed 16 inches high by 24 inches wide (the length of the bag is not a factor). For security screening purposes, all luggage should be unlocked. Oversized luggage and locked luggage may cause delivery delays.
