Arrived Kochi, Japan at 8:00 this morning.

The city of Kochi provided a free shuttle from the port to town which is about 25 minutes journey.

The weather has been rainy with heavy rain at times.

They have a central shopping district which is covered and protected from the rain.

I am so sorry your cruise has been impacted by the weather. We were on this B2B last year and weather was almost perfect.

Each cruise is an adventure. We didn't get to visit Kobe last time as we were in Kyoto for the full day so we will work on seeing Kobe this time.

I'm starting to fell like it's "Groundhog Day". Most of the passengers are upbeat but have heard a number that were upset with the changes. I heard one lady screaming at the Customer Service Agent blaming the Captain for ruining her cruise. OH well..

I just cancelled my tour in Busan as my guide will not be available on the new arrival date. Toursbylocals has been good and issuing full refund.

As a further note,. The mood has been surprisingly good, considering that the shops and the casino have been closed during this entire Japan section. There are very few activities, nothing new has been added to keep people occupied. After our second stop in Kobe, today, we are headed for two days at sea.

Blaming the captain for ruining their cruise? Good grief. Just like cruising during Hurricane season in Florida and the Caribbean. You never know, so just go with the flow. Didn’t Jimmy Buffett say something like “there’s no rhyme or reason for hurricane season”?

One is f the reasons we came back to Kobe after Hiroshima was cancelled is we had to have a port with immigration before leaving Japan for Korea.

Captain Alex indicated he would update us on modifications to the remainder of cruise this evening.

New clearance process.
