SanFranBayCruiser Posted January 9, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 9, 2006 Would someone tell me if RCCL has "Always Available" items on the dinner menu such as steak?
negc Posted January 9, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 9, 2006 Always available on RCI's dinner menu are Sirloin Steak, Salmon, Broiled Chicken Breast, Caesers Salad, and baked potatoes.
wrp96 Posted January 9, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 9, 2006 And I can say that on our last cruise, somebody in my family tried each one, and they were all delicious. The steak was had by several people at my table and they were all impressed.
iamkidc Posted January 9, 2006 #4 Share Posted January 9, 2006 I ordered a steak and a baked potato every night, in addition to whatever appetizer, main course, and desert I had. :D The steak is very good!
Merion_Mom Posted January 9, 2006 #5 Share Posted January 9, 2006 ........plus a pasta dish. On the Sovereign, it was rigatoni. I had the steak twice, and it was FABULOUS the first time and good the second time. (just a little more done than I like, but I actually wasn't that hungry that night anyway, and came nowhere near finishing it.)
Hypo Posted January 9, 2006 #6 Share Posted January 9, 2006 I think you can also get a large shrip cocktail every night, just ask your waiter. Also, if you have any special requests just ask your head waiter or your Maitre d'. On one of our cruises, the head waiter found out (second night) that everyone at our table loved escargot. From that night on, we had a double order of escargot sent to our table by the head waiter, fpr every person at our table. We had so many snails, that we were almost sick of them. But got over it in time for the next cruise.:p Hypo
kenandlaura06 Posted January 9, 2006 #7 Share Posted January 9, 2006 How is the salmon prepared? I am a big salmon lover!
CJJSmith Posted January 10, 2006 #8 Share Posted January 10, 2006 I had the salmon several times and it was very good. It is broiled and is different every night. One night it was herb crusted, another it had a sauce over it... any way it was served, you could ask for it another way. It was very good. I love salmon. OliverTheCat Posted January 10, 2006 #9 Share Posted January 10, 2006 I saw sirloin steak, roasted chicken, a pasta dish every night. The pasta was not very good, sauce tasted like out of a can.

My mother had the salmon twice on our 5 night cruise on Rhapsody and I had it once. It was wonderful both times. Our came broiled without any sauces on it, which was perfect for us. We both enjoyed it - the only problem we had, the servings were huge.
