Okay, I practically hate to ask, but here goes anyways.

Does anyone know if Royal Caribbean will let you bring on one twelve pack of canned soda per person any longer. I have been told yes and I've been told no. So, I can honestly say that I don't know the answer. This will be my 11th cruise with my wife and daughter and I feel stupid to even ask. Someone please advise. I don't really see it on Royal Caribbean's site.

The policy was changed this month. You can no longer check them in which means you will need to carry them on with you.

Checking in non-alcoholic beverages will no longer be permitted.

  • Non-alcoholic beverages brought onboard may not exceed 12 standard (17 oz) cans, bottles or cartons per stateroom.
  • Distilled water or specialized beverages such as, milk for medical purposes, dietary or infant use, are permitted.
  • Our policy regarding alcoholic beverages remains the same.”

Yes policy was changed.....but when we sailed on Freedom last week for a B2B we still had soda in our checked luggage....so not sure how quickly their applying the change.

So sad that this change had to be made due to many just slapping a luggage tag on soda and water and expecting it to be delivered to your cabin...Not surprised though that it finally came to this.

Thank you so much for the answers. Shame it isn't a twelve pack per person though.

If you stop at a port that has soda you will be able to add  to your quota.
